BlueCat Networks Opens Chicago Office in Response to Rapidly-Increasing Demand for its IPAM, DNS & DHCP solutions worldwide
New “tech hub” to further drive BlueCat’s rapid growth by providing local pre- and post-sales technical and marketing support for channel partners in the Midwest
Toronto, Ontario – March 18, 2010 – BlueCat Networks, the IPAM Intelligence Company™, announces that in response to rapidly-increasing demand for its market-leading IPAM, DNS and DHCP solutions in North America, it has opened an office in Chicago, Illinois which will be the regional headquarters for the U.S. Midwest Region.
Located in Naperville, Illinois, where such prestigious technology companies as Oracle, BMC, & EMC also have offices, the Chicago office will serve as the “tech hub” for pre-sales and post-sales technical support for BlueCat’s distributors, resellers and customers in the Midwest. The new office at 300 E 5th Avenue, Suite 440, Naperville, Illinois +60563 will also be responsible for liaising with BlueCat’s channel partners in the Midwest to define business opportunities and provide the local sales and marketing support necessary to maximize sales.
The Chicago office will be staffed by IT sales experts with excellent local market knowledge, headed by James Barkdoll, Regional V.P. Sales, Midwest. With over a decade of highly-focused IT sales experience in the Midwest, including 10 years at Quest Software, Barkdoll is ideally qualified to work closely with BlueCat’s highly-qualified channel partners to identify and maximize the marketing and sales opportunities that will further drive its market share in the Midwest. The office can be contacted directly at (630) 946-6297.
“Opening this office underscores BlueCat’s commitment to continued growth in the Midwest, across the U.S. and worldwide,” said Jim Barkdoll, Regional V.P. Sales, Midwest Region, BlueCat Networks. “The demand for BlueCat’s solutions has been growing rapidly despite the global recession, and this office will not only act as a launch pad for the company’s fast-expanding marketing activities, but will also enable BlueCat to provide local support and experience to help its partners maximize sales,” Barkdoll continued.
This latest expansion further underscores BlueCat’s rapid growth over the last few years which actually accelerated throughout 2009 despite the global recession. BlueCat’s innovative new products and aggressive business model has resulted in two successive record sales quarters and a U.S. $11 million minority investment from California-based investment firm, Bridgescale Partners. As well as opening new offices, BlueCat is investing its new revenues on research and development, strategic hires and the continued growth of its global channel program to further drive its expansion worldwide.
BlueCat’s rapid growth in 2009 resulted in it being ranked in both the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Deloitte Fast 500 as one of North America’s fastest growing companies. BlueCat also received a “Positive” rating in Gartner’s 2009 MarketScope for DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (DDI) products and garnered the GCN (Government Computer News) “Reviewer’s Choice” designation.
BlueCat’s unified approach, which enables management of all network services, including DNS and DHCP, from a single Proteus IPAM interface, has been embraced by such organizations as Georgia Tech, AirTran and Boise State University.
BlueCat’s physical and virtual appliances integrate with BlueCat’s own Adonis DNS/DHCP appliances and Microsoft Windows DNS and DHCP to make it simple for administrators to fully integrate IP inventory tracking and allocation, along with DNS and DHCP management. Administrators can design networks with a simple conceptual view, then deploy and manage them across the organization. When managing DNS and DHCP, BlueCat’s Proteus IPAM solution becomes “mission control”, offering full command, control and customization of configurations from a centralized and secure Web-based interface to make it simple to eliminate all IPAM problems.
