BlueCat Networks Receives “Positive” Rating in Leading Analyst Firms DNS, DHCP & IP Address Management (DDI) MarketScope Report
Toronto, Ontario – December 1, 2009 - BlueCat Networks, the IPAM Intelligence Company™, today announced it received a “Positive” rating in Gartner’s 2009 MarketScope for DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (DDI) products(1).
According to the report, “IPAM provides a range of capabilities for controlling, automating and managing the domain name and address space, and offers a significant improvement over spreadsheets and most homegrown address management applications.”
“We at BlueCat are proud to receive such positive recognition from such a prestigious organization,” said Luc Roy, VP Product Management and Marketing, BlueCat Networks. “This has been a great year for BlueCat, which has included receiving the GCN “Reviewer’s Choice” designation for our innovative IPAM solutions as well as being ranked in both the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Deloitte Fast 500 as one of North America’s fastest growing companies,” Roy continued. “BlueCat’s rapid global growth is built on our commitment to customer service, product development and channel program expansion – which has resulted in record sales over the last quarter and a U.S. $11 million minority investment from California-based investment firm, Bridgescale Partners, which will be utilized to further drive BlueCat’s product growth and expansion worldwide.”
Customers such as Georgia Tech, AirTran and Boise State University have already embraced the unified approach of managing all network services including DNS and DHCP from a single IPAM interface – Proteus.
“BlueCat provides an excellent management GUI that makes it simple to manage, maintain and monitor the entire network – it lets us see exactly what is happening on the network and database at any given time, and provides lists for each subnet so we can easily control IT access to ensure users can always enter appropriate areas of the system,” said Diane Dragone, Network Engineer, Boise State.
BlueCat’s physical and virtual appliances integrate with BlueCat’s own Adonis DNS/DHCP appliances and Microsoft Windows DNS and DHCP to make it simple for administrators to fully integrate IP inventory tracking and allocation, along with DNS and DHCP management. Administrators can design networks with a simple conceptual view, then deploy and manage them across the organization. When managing DNS and DHCP, BlueCat’s Proteus IPAM solution becomes “mission control”, offering full command, control and customization of configurations from a centralized and secure Web-based interface to make it simple to eliminate all IPAM problems.
